What’s On

We meet at Anthony Roper Primary School, Eynsford, Kent DA4 0AA

Ample parking within the school grounds and good disability access

Sunday Mornings at 10.30am …..

….. except for the 4th Sunday of the month: Café-style meeting which starts at 4.30pm

We meet for services in the main hall at Anthony Roper School. We would love you to join us! Activities are provided for younger people. Those who are uncomfortable or unable to attend in person are invited to join us via our Zoom link where you will receive a warm welcome and will be encouraged to participate fully in the service. Please contact us if you would like the Zoom link to the service (see below for Adrian’s contact details).

We continue to hold a weekly PRAYER MEETING at 8pm on alternate Wednesday evenings. This is also a hybrid meeting with some people meeting in person and others joining and participating via Zoom.

These meet both face to face and via Zoom for fellowship, study and prayer. Please speak to Adrian Elms if you are interested in joining a home group.

We hold a fortnightly lunch club at The Riverside Café in Eynsford on a Monday lunchtime. These events are very popular, so please speak to Adrian if you would like to book a place.

We hold a café style service on the fourth Sunday of the month at 4.30 pm. This is an informal time suitable for all ages and for people who are not used to going to church. Tea and coffee are served during the event, which also contains a craft activity. This is followed by buffet meal together and is popular within the villages. Please note: we do not hold a morning service on the fourth Sunday of the month

We hold a monthly prayer breakfast in Olive Seal Hall in Eynsford on the first Saturday of the month. We welcome representatives from other churches in the village to pray and have fellowship together.

A number of us are DBS checked and work with our small group of young people. We are planning to re-commence our young people’s meeting using the ‘Freedom In Christ’ material and we are exploring new ways to engage with young people and encourage them in their faith.

We hold regular day time and evening home groups for fellowship, study and to pray together. Some groups meet weekly and others meet fortnightly, depending on the circumstances of the group.

Learning from the Covid restrictions

  • Friendship and support: In response to an increased sense of isolation during lockdown we established a social zoom meeting for an hour on Thursday mornings at 10.30am. This is an opportunity to catch up and get to know each other better and, by popular demand, these events are continuing despite the easing of restrictions. If you would like to join this weekly zoom chat please contact Adrian and don’t forget to bring your own tea and cake!
  • Prayer walking: During lockdown some of our congregation used their daily exercise to prayer walk in their locality, asking for God’s blessing on those who make up our local communities. It has been exciting to hear how God has been using these prayer walks to build bridges and bring His blessing. Weekly prayer walks continue to take place in Eynsford and West Kingsdown, so please consider joining one of these.

If you would like to meet for a chat please contact Adrian Elms (DVCC Pastor).
