We’ve acted on feedback from local residents who miss having access to a voluntary transport scheme; the previous scheme having closed during the pandemic. The Community Car scheme was set up with the help of local voluntary drivers who generously use their own cars to transport those who would otherwise struggle to attend their appointments. Kent County Council’s Community Transport grant enabled us to purchase a wheelchair adapted vehicle which is kindly sponsored by BS Motors at White Post Garage, Farningham.

The scheme started registering eligible passengers living in Eynsford, Farningham and Lullingstone who need help with transport to health-related appointments. It has now extended to include people from Horton Kirby and South Darenth.
