Prayer is one of the key aspects of daily life for the members of DVCC. It is often a misunderstood activity and made unnecessarily complicated. Basically prayer is talking and listening to God.
It is totally inclusive, any man, woman or child can pray at any time from any place. You don’t have to use special words but can be totally honest when speaking with God. He made you and will understand what you are saying. We strongly believe that God is waiting to hear from you! Prayer can take on various forms from both private and group activities.

Prayer at DVCC
CORPORATE PRAYER
We always have times of corporate prayer during our Sunday Services
PRAYER WALKING
Maybe a new concept to some but we believe God has called us out into the community to pray God’s blessing into our locality, praying for issues, organizations and people. At the moment we cover 3 areas: On Tuesday afternoon we are in Eynsford village. Wednesday afternoon finds us in West Kingsdown and then on Thursday morning we move to Horton Kirby and South Darenth.
PRAYER ZOOM
We hold a weekly one hour prayer “Zoom” meeting at 8.00pm . The first one of the month is both “Face to face “ and via Zoom.
PRAYER ‘WHATSAPP’ GROUP
We have a large number of faithful praying people who are linked via a What’s app group and are ready to pray for needs as they arise. They are there for you!
COMMUNITY PRAYER BREAKFAST
On the first Saturday morning of each month we meet at 8.00am in the Olive Seal Hall for a hearty cooked breakfast followed by a time of prayer . All are welcome.
